MyTownMyCity Set To Launch Place 2 – MyFolkestone

MyTownMyCity is set to launch its place network platform in its second place, Folkestone.

With a Business Manager in place and embedded to build the pre-launch network, the platform expects to launch in mid-September.

The first enhanced platform (2.0), MyFolkestone represents a paradigm shift with a far greater emphasis on content and customer engagement – although still maintaining the promotional capacity so successful in Canterbury.

It will offer residents, locals, visitors and tourists a free and easy to use digital platform designed to support local businesses, help residents make the most of their town and showcase the very best of Folkestone to visitors and tourists. All this will be complimented by widespread promotion, printed seasonal guides, custom maps and social media activity, ensuring everyone can be informed and enticed.

Business Manager, Nina Jackson, says “Folkestone has been calling out for a platform like this for some time. I’m delighted to be bringing this to the town and seeing how it can attract footfall, increase average spends and sustain customer engagement – all long-held challenges. The town has an incredible amount to offer, from its cultural heart, to its heritage roots to its active landscape. So much of Folkestone is undersold and when people come they are astounded and their perceptions ate instantly changed. Places like the Harbour Arm, the Creative Quarter and its independent and energetic business areas will help put it back on the map We’re going to be building a community and sharing what’s new, showing how to explore local and also discover what’s happening- ultimately helping all unite and join in.”
