Mulberry Cottages is one of the UK’s most exciting and innovative holiday lettings businesses. Think Studio was brought on board twelve years ago to assist Mulberry Cottages with its launch in 2006, create a strong brand identity and support its digital growth brand strategy. Mulberry Cottages set out to compete in a marketplace dominated by mainstay holiday regions and big brand players and one of Think Studio’s ongoing tasks has been to create and maintain that essential stand-out for the brand.
We have created six market-leading websites for Mulberry Cottages over the past twelve years. The brand now has a formidable identity in the UK and presence as it has expanded across this highly competitive industry. The latest Mulberry Cottages website saw a much greater focus on experiential messaging and commercial calls to action. An even stronger ‘Mulberry Cottages’ voice has been enhanced giving the site more personality and boosting outcomes such as engagement, stickiness, enquiries and bookings.
Working closely with the Mulberry Cottages leadership team, we have stayed in tune with this aspirational marketplace, continually monitoring and adjusting the brand’s positioning and proposition. Right from the outset, there has always been a shared understanding about the ‘sweet spot’ that Mulberry Cottages delivers – unique properties with aspirational interiors aesthetics which appeal to clients, from the UK or overseas, who expect something more from a holiday home.
We also recognised from the start what the target Mulberry Cottages customer would appreciate and be drawn to in terms of their digital experience. For this reason, we created a lifestyle-led website which not only details the practical details on how to book but also brings the properties to life as they are presented under unique categories such as ‘cozy fires’ and ‘quirky cottages’ that would inspire consumers to book their holiday home.
